Perfect for families and outdoorsy types
We showed up drenched and muddy after hiking, but the staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home! The lunch was delicious and hit the spot. The bar area was a cozy place to relax after our adventures, and they even had packed lunch options for our next hike. Just wish the parking was a bit easier.

i had a fabulous stay at this charming pub, even better than my last visit in starbotton. the warmth of the staff and the quality of the food exceeded my expectations, especially during our hike to see the northern lights. the room was clean and comfortable, making it the perfect home base for exploring the stunning surroundings.

missingWrote a review on 27 Julcramped room
The Double Room with Private Bathroom felt cramped, making it difficult to move around comfortably. The bed lacked support, leaving me waking up a bit stiff, and small inconveniences like a loose toilet seat and an outdated shower head didn’t help. While the cooked breakfast impressed, the instant coffee and average cereal options seemed uninspired and didn’t match the quality of the warm meal.

The dining experience was top-notch with a hearty breakfast that hit the spot after a long hike! The evening meal was stuffed with local flavors that made my taste buds dance. the staff really made us feel at home, and the vibe in the pub was just the right level of cozy. Perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the Dales.
The room was a tad snug, and the bed could’ve used a bit more support, but honestly, the fab atmosphere and delicious grub more than made up for it.
